Description

Rare Historical Gems in Classical Performing Arts Recorded Sound.
Closing out this week, I offer a small group of exceptional and rare first recordings
Each is a gem and a story unto itself.    Combined, they are an awesome lot to behold.
Modern Dance in America circa 1925.      The Ted Shawn Male Dancers Studio and Ruth St Denis Dance Studio combined to create The Denishawn Record.
The disc represents important early Mid Century American Dance history.
Ultra Rare: Never before seen.  This likely ONE of less than a handful that survived.  The only other likely copy of this disc is in The Library of Congress.    This is a late acoustical process 10" record with music for use in ballet studio.    Condition= E-/V+
re: THE MUSIC: The music is a small dance chamber orchestra playing music to WARM UP BY in a Dance Studio.   One side is a Waltz, the other side is a blend of 1900 Cake Walk and or Irene Castle Ballroom Palm Court music.
NOTE, ALL DISCS ARE SOLD AS IS.   INSURANCE IS REQUIRED FOR REFUNDS ON DAMAGE IN THE MAIL  MORE in This Series of recordings:View Seller other auctions
