FOUND AT A STORAGE AUCTION IN EARLY 1980'S !!!

JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA

Back in the early 80's, I was getting started to sell at flea markets.  To find inventory I went to storage auctions.  The auctioneer opened a door and let us explore the contents.  Included in this storage room were 2 pic discs and a Grammy.  Well, I did not know what a Grammy looked like back then.  A shame since I was very much involved in music in the past previous 10 years.  The Grammy was broken with the megaphone piece broken.  I believe it went for two dollars--shame on us all.  I bought both pic discs.  I really liked the band and again did not know what I had.  One had a broken glass in the frame.  I gave it away to the son of a flea market dealer that liked Molly Hatchet as much as I did. Ready for this???  It was a presentation award for selling 100,000 copies of Flirting With Disaster.  He had a friend that knew someone in Molly Hatchet that [ from what was told back to me] that let us go ahead and keep the finds as fans of the the band.

This one up for sale was presented to Steve Holland for " IN COMMEMORATION OF THE RELEASE OF, THE MOLLY HATCHET ALBUM, FLIRTING WITH DISASTER, SEPTEMBER 5 1979 ".  This is what the metal plate reads in the frame.   The frame is a custom frame approx 18" x 14".  Frame is a light metal and presentation and disc behind a glass.

I have owned this for 25 years and has been well taken care of.  Economic times say now must sell.  This is quite a conversation piece.  I have had this in many locations in the US and has caused a stir of conversations.  An ex-sister-in-law expressed interest in this for the HARD ROCK CAFE in New York.
