Description

Vinyl record albums are making a comeback, and in a big way! Many new releases are given a vinyl record treatment, usually being a 180 gram album, or even a colored album. What color, you ask? Well, as many different colors as the imagination can conjure up! A lot of times, these vinyl record albums will be a picture disc. A picture disc is usually the artwork from the album cover embedded between two layers of clear vinyl, with the songs on the grooves.

Now if you're just getting started in the picture disc collecting world, this is a great place to begin! Today's rockin' good deal features the FIRST THREE picture discs from southern rockers Molly Hatchet! Long considered Lynyrd Skynyrd's little brothers, the band used fantasy artist Frank Frazetta for many of their album covers. The FIRST THREE rare Molly Hatchet picture discs with the art of Frank Frazetta are included today!

The first, self-titled, debut album celebrated its FORTY year anniversary last year, in 2018! This is the most rare of the three, as it had the least number made. This record looks fantastic! This, unfortunately, does NOT come in its original die cut sleeve. The other two DO come with their original die cut sleeves!

'Flirtin' With Disaster' turns FORTY this year! You'll get a copy of that awesome southern rock classic, on picture disc! This continued with the Frank Frazetta artwork on the cover, and on the picture disc. It also comes with its original die-cut sleeve. The sleeve is starting to show its age, but holding up well. This record was the last with original singer Danny Joe Brown (who would be back a few years later). Record looks really, really good!

The third Molly Hatchet release will turn FORTY next year, in 2020. It was the first to feature new singer Jimmy Farrar. Continuing in the same southern rock format, but with a slightly different feel, this one did not tear up the charts like the previous two did. It too, features Frazetta's artwork on both the album cover and picture disc. This one also comes in its original die-cut sleeve. This sleeve is in a bit better shape than 'Flirtin's sleeve. ALL three records look great for being 40 years old, with only a few very light surface marks on them. Nothing too bad.

Please be aware, these are the ORIGINAL picture discs from the 70s, and WILL NOT sound good on a turntable. These were made for promo purposes, and the sound was terrible back then! Plenty of background noise and whatnot. These were made to display and show, and not really play. You get ALL THREE picture discs in this insane deal!!
