MOLOCH "MOLOCH" ENTERPRISE ENS 1002 IN SHRINK 1969
A lynchpin on the psychedelic scene of the late sixties in MemphisTn., this Blues Rock band only recorded this sole album on the collectable Enterprise label. Led by the late Lee Baker on guitar/vocals and Gene Wilkins lead singer, the band was produced by the legendary Don Nix who also wrote or co-wrote with Wilkins all twelve tunes. Titles include "Helping Hand", "Maverick Woman Blues", "Outta Hand", "Gone Too Long", "People Keep Talking" and "Night at the Possum". They also recorded the first version of the later well covered standard "Going Down". This is super cool laid back Blues Rock. The band lasted until 1972 with Baker later working with Alex Chilton and Furry Lewis before his was found murdered. Great undiscovered band here !
