Description
NOTE: eBay has implemented its new FEEDBACK policy to which ANY customer for ANY reason or ANY excuse can give sellers (i.e. "us") negative feedback. Please understand, we have served thousands of "satisfied" customers and processed thousands of orders - far more than our feedback records indicate - It is our intention to give EACH and EVERY buyer our best possible service and we are known to ALWAYS deliver your purchased item. ALL items paid for are processsed 'outbound' to each and EVERY customer, satisfaction guaranteed. Keep in mind we have serviced THOUSANDS of satisfied customers and our aim is to continue to do so.
We make every effort to mail all orders out Friday of each week. Keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two at most. We also strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.
TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS: We often get requests to hold orders to save on shipping. We are happy to do that. Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and IF YOU REQUEST we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel. To receive continual shipping discounts, we will hold your orders as long as you want, but it is necessary to pay each invoice you receive to stay current. Most importantly, we appreciate your business.

The fabulous JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE
ARE YOU EXPERIENCED?
usa - steamboat Reprise - 6261
*** Scarce steamboat Reprise label that was issued with THIS album for only a short period (1967 to 1968) and only in 1967 for the first printing MONAURAL
In fact, most sixties pressings of popular "party" rock records, like this one, are found, in current days, thrashed or in less than desireable condition, if even found at all ...This 41 year old artifact of the sixties psych scene has been in relatively careful hands...still plays enjoyable with lots of life left !
***The ((rare)) mono release offeres different song mixes from the much more common stereo issue and also provides a rich bold depth in the (mono) production playback, completely different from the stereo edition...
Jimi Hendrix's debut recording was an instant classic, and is as startling today as when it first hit the streets in 1967. ARE YOU EXPERIENCED? is probably the most rock-oriented of Hendrix's official studio releases, but its influences are incredibly diverse. "Third Stone From The Sun" recalls the supple octaves of 'heady' acid trips psychedelia... the churning tribal polyrhythms of "Manic Depression" evoke John Coltrane; "I Don't Live Today" employs ritualistic Native American drumbeats; and the title tune borrows the Eastern airs of sitarist masters...all enveloped with sonic rushes of magic fingered feedback frenzies...?Are You Really Experienced, Hendrix quipped after thrusting this head turning, attention getting, impact 'wall of sound' on the unsuspecting public...many of them googling at The Monkees, who were the *new* thing of the day in '67...and then came JIMI

CONDITION: The cover still pretty solid, VG+(+) light wear, little bit (an inch) of wear on spine, otherwise strong: no bends, no splits, no writing anywhere ... STIFF & still pretty presentable, obviously has been cared most of its 40+ years...
The vinyl highly glossy & clean VG++ on side two, side one has 3 initials on label, a scuff and one light needle mark (on last track), otherwise it's pretty clean and glossy, overall plays very well all the way !
