PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

- QUITE RARE Canadian "TRANS WORLD" (((MONO))) 1967 Original
- Impressive electric guitar led underground rock quartet featuring 'mad-cap' tunes amid plenty of twists and turns along the 'bending' highway
- original compositions
- The Rabble were a talented band for sure, to the point in getting a USA contract as well. This album, THE RABBLE ALBUM was also released on state-side "Roulette Records, with a completely different cover design and different songs...though scarce, is nowhere near rarity status as this '67 "Trans World" release, especially with the earliest YELLOW 1967 Trans World label
- Drums, backing Vocals – Teddy McMahon
Lead Guitar – Mike Harris (19)
Vocals, Guitar [rhythm] – John Pimm
Bass – Tim Charbonneau
- The Rabble were four hip, talented "heads" from Pointe Claire on Montreal Canada's west island, playing cool and groovy song infected melodic/rocker tunes, all oddly eccentric and alternativ (for example) to the Haunted's straight-on garage rock.
- The RABBLE's first album is a psychedelic-rock creation sadly languishing in near extinct oblivion, even when scads of American and international lesser collectible LP's are scraped from the bottom of the dustbin being far lesser sixties psychedelic relics. So what gives?
- The RABBLE were formed in 1966 by leader/guitarist Mike Harris and did the requisite club and bar appearances across Montreal island, eventually playing before 4,000 people at the Queen's Park love-in in Toronto on May 22, 1967. But unlike other bands of the era, who were trying to establish rock as a serious medium (as evinced no doubt by the emergence of rock criticism at about the same time), The Rabble were more eccentric, madcap, yet highly talented, flourishing their music with wit, sarcasm and whimsy while crafting highly rated self composed material.
Their single Golden Girl was a highlight on the Montreal airwaves during the technicolor summer of 1967. They won over a restless audience at the Paul Sauvé Arena when headliners "Cream" didn't show, The Rabble walked off the stage triumphantly – in matching underwear. Their music, at its best, crossed a mix of infectious/catchy Beatlesque hooks and a no-barriers attack on Zappa's Mothers of Invention.
The first Rabble single, a psychedelic rocker "I’m Alaboundy Bam", got little chart action. The follow-up, a slice of catchy cool-pop-perfection number "Golden Girl," was a different story.
- ‘‘That thing just started popping,’’ group leader John Pimm said. ‘‘We started winning all these music battle of the bands’’
The Rabble seemed unstoppable. But beyond the groovy-hooks, they delivered shock value with musical anarchy and experimentation, too – particularly in songs like the Zappa-esque "Black Potato," the Eastern-psychedelic flavored drama of "Rising of the Sun" and the sheer free-for-all madness of "The Energy Ritual," Harris’s 11-minute album-closing 'acid-rock' suite.
Elsewhere, The Rabble fly their freak flag in full colors. 'Black Potato', for instance, is a tribal paean, replete with jungle-like chants, to the humble spud, the "almighty black potato". 'The Crushing Hand of 'Mother' mixes odd time changes with social commentary and the Zappa-esque prescience of "your mother's got a hold on you, yeah / controls all the things that you do, yeah" before snapping into a staccato guitar riff and then back to its languid lament. And then there's the absurd 'Can I Squeeze', which belts out some of the nimblest guitar rhythms before popping the gross-out question of the century, "Can I squeeze your boil? / Can I crunch it, munch it, squeeze it, eat it?"
The Rabble jams it up at times with heavy blues sludge considered the '68 era 'happening' sounds (ala Cream) at the time, which adds to this overlooked charmer, should have been reissued a long time ago. - I Can Still Hear Them Laughing
