THE VINYL :  EX+ :  This beautiful record is lightly played with minimal evidence of spindlewear, and both sides of the LP surface retain all of their original gloss. Bright, undamaged labels (please see photos).
While there are no scratches visible, there are a few very small surface marks that cause some ticking when the needle encounters them.

As is the case with some of the recordings in the American Recording Society's Jazz Division Series, the great Rudy Van Gelder  was the Recording Engineer on this release.  His etched initials (RVG) are in the deadwax run out on both sides.



THE COVER :  EX+ :  The covers that were issued by the American Recording Society Jazz Division Series were somewhat unconventional. From the photos, you can see that the cover consists of a piano keyboard around the edges of a colorful, heavy plastic sleeve with the LP opening at the top. Inside the sleeve is a 4 page booklet / insert that serves as "liner notes".  While the booklet has three hole punch marks for a conventional ring binder, the plastic sleeve does not have those holes.

This "Cover" has been carefully stored and is in great condition. The plastic sleeve is intact with no tears, holes or missing portions, no writing, dirt or stains. The booklet is in the same condition, with a faint amount of age-related fading.
