The Rolling Stones
Let It Bleed
MONO
1969 Press
(Professionally cleaned with Pro-Ject VCS MkII Vacuum Record Cleaner)
This is a fantastic example of The Stones with one of their best albums. Released in 1969, the record is peppered with hit tunes.
This was the first Stones label to transition to the boxed Decca logo in '69.
Catalogue number: SKL 5025

(Wonderfully early for this label)
Vinyl:
Quality 151g
VG+.
She plays all the way through with a quality deep, rich audio reproduction. There is only light and occasional background noise to mention! There are some light marks to the vinyl, mainly from removal and replacement from the inner. Just a few odd light pops here and there-they are very soft and not offensive at all. I noticed some light revolutionary pops at the start of track 5, side 1-but I didn't find them particularly offensive.
FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN.
Certainly plays through WITHOUT jumps or skips and was a simple joy to listen to.
Quality HEAVY vinyl.
Labels:
EX.
This label was one of the first when DECCA switched over to the boxed logo back at the end of 1969/start of 1970.
There are just light spindle marks, with very almost zero central hole wear-please see the detailed images below.
Lovely deep red MONO labels (never shown properly when photographed with a flash :(
Sleeve:
EX.
Original hole at the back showing the buyer the Lp is either a mono or stereo copy inside.
Laminated front cover with just a few small crescents of spidering to the laminate.
The spine is perfectly legible and still carries the factory pinches to the top and bottom.
There is the outline of where the poster sticker would've been to the front-if you wanted, this could easily be removed.
WOULD FRAME INCREDIBLY WELL
NO Writing
"Sleeve Printed In England" - The very 1st printing run here.
Did you know it was one of Deliah Smiths first jobs-to produce this cake for the front cover??!!
Inner:
VG
It is the ORIGINAL CREDIT DECCA, MONO inner with the red text and credits for each track.
Unfortunately she has an 8cm split to one side-but that really is the only down point to this rare beauty.
It is, oddly, the very 1st printed inner as the The London Bach Choir is clearly credited and not blanked out as it was later.
Just creasing evident and some feathering to the opening-really has survived remarkably well.
Has certainly done her job by looking after the vinyl for all these years.
ALL IN ALL THIS IS AN ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION AND IS A COLLECTORS PIECE IN IT'S OWN RIGHT WITH GREAT AUDIO.
DON'T FORGET THE EARLIEST MOTHERS TOO!
