MONO The Beatles RUBBER SOUL UK Parlophone PMC 1267 early British pressing on Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover with laminated front.
Not the "Loud Cut", this is the re-mastering with XEX-579 4/580 4 matrix numbers.
VINYL in VG strong VG with light hairlines/scuffs on surface, LP plays closer to VG+ in most spots, strong bass, slight groove wear in places (tracks that appear closer to the end of the side), overall very strong player. Test played with treble at max to determine sound. Occasional pop, crackle noticeable in between tracks and in quieter tracks "Michelle".
COVER in G+ condition with creases along edges and corners especially, corner damage with some paper loss, yellowing/staining on back cover, wear at edge of cover at opening.
INNER SLEEVE Original Emitex sleeve G+ with creasing, yellowing, corner dings
The Second pressing of “Rubber Soul” has the “normal” cut matrixes XEX 579-4 / XEX 580-4 and has the matrix number printed on the label aligned or misaligned to the datestamp.
'KT' stamped on the centre label side A or B.
The mono covers of the 2nd pressing were manufactured by G & L or Ernest J. Day.
G & L sleeve has the words "TRADE MARK OF THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD." under the Parlophone logomark, but E. J. Day have not.
Inner sleeve: Tracing-rice-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut sleeve.
There are at least two subtypes which feature differences in printing type in the song title and artist name.
1) One of them was printed in the "Roman" type.
2) The remainder were printed in the "Sans Serif" type.
