Description
This is an overall fine original pressing copy of a rare 1969 LP on the Columbia Masterworks label of compositions by Moondog (who seems also to have conducted the sessions). He had been recording for two decades by this point, and at least a couple of the pieces on this LP had been previously recorded with more stripped down arrangements, including one of his best known pieces, "Bird's Lament" (here titled "Lament 1"), a tribute to Charlie Parker. A few of the LP's pieces are performed by a full symphony; the others are done by smaller jazz-style combos. The unipak jacket has a small cutout hole, spine and bottom seam wear, and light ring wear on the front, back, and inside left covers (VG++). Inside the jacket are a detailed bio and notes about each individual piece, all written by the composer himself. Visually, the disc is clean with some light scuffing. Side 1 plays with light surface noise audible mostly in some quieter passages, while side 2 plays M-: overall EX(+).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
