Description
Very collectable Australian 1972 1st issue on the green WB label – not perfect but plays and sounds fine with a little surface noise.
Vinyl Grade: VG, the surface is a bit dull with impressions partly over the shine and has some infrequent light lines. Scratches that are more noticeable are: side 1 has two light scratches on track one (cannot be heard) with the worst shown in a close photo, side 2 has one long light scuff/scratch right across (cannot be heard) as shown in a close photo and a group of light scratches on track four as shown in the third close photo. From overall appearance some surface noise would be expected.
Sound Quality: +VG/VG, side 1 sounds +VG with light background surface noise on the first three tracks only, no clicks/pops/ticks so the two scratches on track 1 cannot be heard. Side 2 sounds VG with fairly constant light background surface noise, the long scratch across cannot be heard, no clicks/pops apart from one click on track four, fully play tested critically to describe.
Cover: +VG, flat, no damage, light edge wear on bottom, looks better in the photo than it is because there is light wear including a wear mark along the top, has light ring wear on back.
Labels: clear, no spindle wear.
Records graded directly under very bright table light for the visual grade. Sound quality checked by playing to ensure that visual grade and sound quality are consistent.
Mint M and Near Mint NM: Looks perfect as new. N and NM is only appropriate for new reissue records and not for vintage vinyl that has been played, regardless of how perfect it may look.
Excellent Plus +EX: Lovely gloss, no visible scratches, scuffs or marks. Has been played but has been handled well and still in great condition. (highest grade that I use for vintage vinyl)
Excellent EX: Lovely gloss, shows some slight signs of wear, including light trace/hairlines from the inner sleeve, light scuffs or very light marks that you would not expect to hear as surface noise.
Very Good Plus +VG: Shows a few more very light marks than is allowable for EX so not quite EX. These signs of use would be expected to cause some light surface noise but not to detract from the music.
Very Good VG: Shows light scratches and marks and some that you would expect to cause surface noise, especially in soft passages, between tracks and during a song?s intro and ending but not so much as to overpower the music which can still be enjoyed.
Very Good Minus -VG: Shows significant wear and marks that you would expect to cause noticeable surface noise that detracts from the music.
Good G: In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up records lacking much of the original gloss and with many scratches and marks that you would expect to cause very noticeable surface noise and clicks/pops that seriously detract from enjoyment of the music.
Postage: I package very very well and only charge the actual Aust Post cost. International post currently not available because of the delays with sending parcels overseas.
