GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Notes : I could not listen to the record not having available a second unsealed copy. For those few tracks listened on the web I seemed to understand how the typical style of the composer works skilfully about the Sicilian folklore. No repudiation, of course, but the fragmentation of musical notes which convey a greater poignancy on the dramatic atmospheres reflecting the film story. The Sicilian great singer Rosa Balistreri, performs "La Ballata del prefetto Mori" in three parts (a4, b2, b7) accompanying herself on acoustic guitar. Music is also here by Morricone, lyrics by the poet Ignazio Buttitta.

The titles of the fifteen tracks can be read looking at the back cover depicted in the scan No. 2.
