MORRISSEY "Vauxhall And I" 1994 ORIGINAL UK PARLOPHONE
GF SLEEVE w/Lyric INNER, HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL, EX AUDIO
MORRISSEY
Vauxhall And I

HERE WE HAVE AN EXCELLENT UK PARLOPHONE (PCSD 148) FIRST PRESSING (March 1994) OF MORRISSEY'S SUPERB, "Vauxhall And I" LP

PRESSED ON QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL WITH DEEP CUT GROOVES WHICH DELIVER OUTSTANDING AUDIO, THE VINYL HAS THE FIRST ISSUE A-2-1-1 / B-2-1- 1 MATRIX NUMBERS AND IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL MATTE GATEFOLD SLEEVE, COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL GLOSSY PICTURE/LYRIC INNER SLEEVE

While it isn't a gutsy rock & roll record like Your Arsenal, Vauxhall and I is equally impressive. Filled with carefully constructed guitar pop gems, the album contains some of Morrissey's best material since the Smiths. Out of all of his solo albums, Vauxhall and I sounds the most like his former band, yet the textured, ringing guitar on this record is an extension of his past, not a replication of it. In fact, with songs like "Now My Heart Is Full" and "Hold on to Your Friends," Morrissey sounds more comfortable and peaceful than he ever has. And "The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get," "Speedway," and "Spring-Heeled Jim" prove that he hasn't lost his vicious wit.

Track Listing:
Side 1: Now My Heart Is Full / Spring-Heeled Jim / Billy Budd / Hold On To Your Friends / The More You Ignore Me The Closer I Get
Side 2: Why Dont You Find Out For Yourself / I Am Hated For Loving / Lifeguard Sleeping, Girl Drowning / Used To Be A Sweet Boy / The Lazy Sunbathers / Speedway

LABELS: CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO wear, NO writing and moderate spindle traces (see pics)
VINYL Visual: The surfaces have their original DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN. There are some superficial light marks but these have NO audio major consequence WHATSOEVER. Visually VG+
VINYL Audio: SUPERB audio delivery - CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY SHARP and VERY STRONG. There are NO scratches, NO jumps, NO sticks and just some light clicking/crackle between some of the tracks. The album plays EXTREMELY WELL THROUGHOUT with SUPERB clarity and NO distortion or groove-wear. This must be graded EXCELLENT for audio and NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards (please refer to my feedback and 'about me' page)
SLEEVE: The gatefold sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. CLEAN and UNMARKED with SHARP edges and a nice THICK SPINE with all text CLEAR and BOLD. There is some 'bumping' to the bottom corner but overall A VERY NICE SLEEVE
INNER: CLEAN and UNMARKED with NO splits. The LP is now housed in a new inner to avoid any 'knifing' damage to the original during transit

PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I USUALLY TAKE QUITE A FEW SO YOU CAN GET A CLEAR INDICATION OF EVERY DETAIL OF THE ITEM
THIS REALLY IS AN EXCELLENT COPY OF ONE OF MOZZAS HARDER TO FIND ALBUMS ON VINYL
AS WITH ALL MY RECORDS THIS HAS A LOW START PRICE AND NO RESERVE
PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE RARE AND COLLECTABLE VINYL
AND PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUERIES YOU MAY HAVE
