MOSAIC Records 6-LP Boxed set: I’m fairly certain that this has been out of print for awhile now. I think this is a fair starting price, no reserve.
The Complete Illinois Jacquet Sessions: 1945-50: Mosaic MQ6-165. [Limited Edition #1248/7500] (Condition: records are near mint; Box is basically VG++ or better; 12-page booklet is near mint.) ||| Great stuff, hours of sensational blowing and a surprising number of things one might not necessarily associate with the earlier, rather bombastic tenorman. He had it goin’on, as they say. Another one of those fabulous Mosaic boxed sets w/ tons of tracks and lots of great musicians including Russell Jacquet, Sir Charles Thompson, Charles Mingus, Bill Doggett, Johnny Otis, Emmett Berry, Freddie Green, Joe Newman, Leo Parker, J. J. Johnson, Porter Kilbert and many others. /\ About 80 selections – too many to do justice to. /\ [Note: Fats Navarro & Miles Davis appear in a big band trumpet section on four trks from 1947 – either solo.] |||| [Ref: Zee].

Thanks & good Luck, BT *** NOTICE ON MAILING: I feel that my eBay rating & feedback assures buyers that I am a responsible seller (& buyer). One who follows through on deals and that goes out of his way to be fair in the rare case of dispute. Yet to buyers new to my operation, here goes:1.) I only use USPS.
2.) I guarantee that packages will be correctly addressed and safely packed. (That’s why I ask buyers to respond via email with their mailing address. I cut it out and tape it to the address label.)
3.) I will take NO Responsibility for LOSS of UNINSURED packages. I’ll say it another way, no refunds on lost packages, if they are not insured.
4.) I know that this can be a hardship, especially for International Buyers due to the prohibitive expense of mailing & insuring Parcel Post, which is the only way insured packages can be sent outside of the USA. Insurance is not available for the cheaper Letter-Post delivery. Yet keep in mind that out of about 1000 items that we’ve mailed throughout the world, only a mere handful (perhaps 5 or 6) has not been delivered. So the odds are extremely good that International Packages will arrive safely. But the buyer (domestic or international) is the one who takes the chance.
5.) This goes for domestic items too: no refunds on undelivered, uninsured packages. As to insured domestic packages: it is the responsibility of the buyer to collect insurance on these items. I will provide all appropriate sales documentation; and if necessary, the proper postal forms to the buyer.
Not to put too fine of a point on it -- but if you don’t feel that you can live with the above caveats -- don’t bid on my items.
