Description
MOSAIC MQ5-167: The Complete Blue Note Sam Rivers Sessions. Here is your chance to buy this long deleted 5LP box set which collects together all the sides made by this 'cutting-edge' tenor saxophone player for the legendary NYC label 1964-67. As one might expect Rivers found himself partnered by similarly adventurous musicians like JAKI BYARD, RON CARTER, TONY WILLIAMS, FREDDIE HUBBARD, HERBIE HANCOCK, DONALD BYRD and JULIAN PRIESTER. As usual, Mosaic have uncovered several previously unissued takes. Also contained in this luxury box set is the usual splendid booklet with high resolution photographs, notes on the performances and a full discography. The condition of the discs and the box is 'as new'.
