MOSAIC MQ6-178: The Complete Blue Note Blue Mitchell Sessions 1963-67. Here is your chance to buy this deleted 6 LP box set containing all the music recorded by this fine modern jazz trumpet player for the legendary New York label. These dates were originally issued on 5 LPs, with a sixth session issued later in 1980. Mitchell surrounded himself with many of the finest musicians Blue Note could offer including his front line partner in the Horace Silver Quintet, JUNIOR COOK. Among other sidemen are HERBIE HANCOCK, JOE HENDERSON, LEO WRIGHT, JULIAN PRIESTER and CHICK COREA.  As usual, Mosaic has trawled the archives and managed to unearth a couple of previously unissued alternative takes. The sturdy presentation box also includes a beautifully produced booklet containing stunning photographs, detailed notes on the sessions as well as a full discography. The condition of both the discs and the box is 'as new'.
