MOSAIC MQ8-197 HORACE PARLAN The Complete Blue Note Sessions
A long-deleted 8LP box set, covering the recordings made by this underrated piano player for Blue Note 1960-63. The set includes both the trio sides and the small band stuff with Booker Ervin, the Turrentines and Grant Green etc.. This has the usual luxury booklet with high-definition photographs, full track listings and discographical details. There are two previously unissued performances. (More information on request.)
DESCRIPTION/CONDITION : The discs are E+toN- (VG++toM-), with a few very light scuffs/superficial marks only, visible under a bright 'grading' light. The box is E (VG+), with slight corner damage, some surface rubbing/scratching and slight surface dirt. There is a 5cm incipient split in the middle of the top seam of the front half of the box.
