The record you are considering is a RARE ORIGINAL 1966 US STEREO copy of FRANK ZAPPA's MOTHERS OF INVENTION's debut LP titled "Freak Out!", Still in the SHRINK WRAP!!!!
LABEL- VERVE Records, V6-5005-2.
Released on June 27th, 1966 on Verve Records, FREAK OUT is the debut album of The Mothers of Invention, led by Frank Zappa. Though often cited as one of rock music's first concept albums, the real unifying theme of the album is the scathingly satirical attitude based on Zappa's unique perception of American pop culture. It was also one of the earliest double albums in the history of rock music.
Verve Records' Tom Wilson signed The Mothers, formerly a bar band called the Soul Giants, to a record deal in the belief that they were a white blues band.
BAND features Frank Zappa, vocalist Ray Collins, along with bass player Roy Estrada, drummer Jimmy Carl Black and guitar player Elliot Ingber, who would later join Captain Beefheart's Magic Band under the name Winged Eel Fingerling.

CONDITION:
Gatefold Cover is a Nice VG++ to Near MINT!!!, still in SHRINK wrap!! NO cut corners or punch holes! Shrink is torn middle of front and bottom right corner. This same corner has a bit of wear. Others have a hint. A couple of tiny nicks in paper bottom edge. The little wear is consistent with shrink wrap, but is loose enough to pull off. Good in a way, I was able to check inside and this is the ORIGINAL issue with blurb on where to get map! I refund a customers money because they did not think the shrink was original. I will not do it twice!! Bid on this as if it had no shrink and was just a VG++ to Near MINT cover! BEAUTIFUL peice, hard to find better!!!!
Vinyl is a Near MINT to MINT!!!, not even a hairline!!. BEAUTIFUL!!!! A few random light ticks at the most. No surface! GREAT SOUND!!!
This record ROCK & FOLK collector love to keep her records in their ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP!!! and handled her records with GREAT CARE! Big BEATLES collector! I Also will be listing BEATLES magazines and song books!!
