I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers.
MOTORHEAD.
OVERKILL.
ORIGINAL UK 1979 BRONZE (BRON 515) TEST PRESSING LP.
A very rare UK test pressing with proof cover that is different to the normal issue.
This proof cover has no text on the back, Lemmy photo reversed and a different colour background.
Not a perfect example but you may never see another go up for sale, this is very rare!!!!

The Record / VG- condition. The record plays well, the disc has light surface wear and light marks. The record has no deep or very bad marks. VG- is a strict grade, the record is not in bad condition but it is also NOT perfect. 
The Labels / VG condition.  White promo label with some age wear, one has a Motorhead stamp as seen in the pictures.
The Cover / Good condition. The rare cover shows its age, it has a couple of added staples and some tape on the bottom. The cover has creasing but is still presentable. As this cover is graded as G condition it is NOT for a fussy buyer.

I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear.  The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
