MOTOWN LEGENDARY PROMO 7"-'GREETINGS TO TAMLA MOTOWN APPRECIATION SOCIETY'

	£		35
	$		46

Description

This is my copy of this RARE (USA PRESSED PROMO for the UK), 45rpm single that sent a vocal greetings message to the UK's ORIGINAL TAMLA MOTOWN FANS in the early 60's just before the first UK MOTOWN TOUR. It was presented with no centre and the cat.no. is DM097311 and it was produced by BRADSHAW, EDWARDS. Side 1. Against a backdrop of Motown music relevant to each artist, the 7" features individual messages from MARGARET PHELPS (USA Motown Fan Club), BERRY GORDY Jr, SMOKEY ROBINSON AND THE MIRACLES, STEVIE WONDER, MARVIN GAYE, THE MARVALETTES & THE TEMPTATIONS. Side 2. has MARTHA & THE VANDELLAS, THE CONTOURS, EDDIE HOLLAND, KIM WESTON & THE SUPREMES. There is a short scratch on Side 2 and the record jumps during the crossover between The Contours and Eddie Holland. I haven't tried anything to cure this as I might cause more damage! A TRUE MOTOWN RARITY! I pack all my records very well and offer a complete refund if not satisfied. It will be sent by a 'signed for' service.....

Which brings me to a true but deprerssing story about certain ebayers....This is my second copy of this PROMO and they were given to me by Motown's first UK 'plugger', the legendary TONY HALL. I sold the first (which was perfect!), when I first started on ebay quite a while ago now. It was won by an idiot who paid a high price and then would not spend the few extra pennies on 'recorded delivery'! When the record sadly failed to turn up, he started abusing me on ebay and on the phone calling me everything under the sun...even though I had a Post Office reciept proving postage to his address. This twat gave me the only piece of negative feedback I have ever had, and it was all his own tight-ass fault! So this was the moment in my early ebay days that I decided EVERYTHING I post must be signed for!
