MOTT THE HOOPLE - SELF TITLED LP

Original 1969 UK ISLAND Gatefold Pressing - Pink Labels

A//2 / B//2 Matrix Numbers

Format: Vinyl LP (33/3rpm)

Record Label: Island

Catalogue No: ILPS 9108

Year of Release: 1969

Country: UK

Condition of Vinyl: Visually the Vinyl is graded as Good ++ / Very Good condition with some fine hairline surface marks that are visible under a strong light and 2 small fine scratches that can be felt at the very end of Side 1, track 1 & at the very beginning of Side 1, track 2. I have played the LP through and an audible click can be heard as it plays through the marks but there are no sticks or jumps on my turntable.

The vinyl retains a lovely sheen and other than the above mentioned 'clicks' the audio quality is Great!

Condition of Labels: The Labels are both clean & in Very Good overall condition.

Condition of Sleeve: The gatefold Sleeve is in Good + condition due to a mark on the rear (as seen in photos). The inside of the gatefold is very clean and the sleeve is otherwise in Very Good condition with some wear to the edges.

This might be a good collection filler until a mint copy comes along?!!

I BASE MY GRADINGS ON THE RARE RECORD GUIDE GRADING SYSTEM WHICH IS AS FOLLOWS:

MINT- The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT-The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing

VERY GOOD-The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD-The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc

FAIR-The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced
