Description
Available here is a 12" vinyl LP by Mott The Hoople, self-titled or untitled and originally their debut release. Believed 1st pressing with the "pink i" label, it was issued in the UK by Island in 1969 and has the catalogue number ILPS 9108.
Identifiers - The record has the following marks -
Matrix / Runout - Side A - Stamped - ILPS 9108 A//2
Matrix / Runout - Side B - Stamped - ILPS 9108 B//2
Vinyl Condition - Very Good - The record is very bright and clean and although close examination will reveal the two or three very light marks, there are no worrying scratches. Having listened to the record, I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking, although the odd click may be heard. Background crackle/noise is present at time but not excessive.
Sleeve Condition - Good+ - Original gatefold outer cover which for thmost part has only light signs of wear. However, there are front panel abrasions, where it appears as if two or three labels have been removed in the past. Another label is still in place and I fancy that more damage will ensue if it is peeled off. Further small spots and marks affect the back panel. Inner record sleeve is plain white, die-cut, poly-lines and possibly as issued. Again, minor wear is present.
