The Chess Records Marketing Manager sent me several promotional LPs when I was on staff at BILLBOARD in the late 80's.
I played, this one (CH-9291) a couple of times, and knowing it was of historical importance, I put it away in 'permanent collection'. Time now to cull-out some of my vinyl and make some space in the listening room. Your gain now, to acquire this hard-to-find record.
Inside a very cool outer sleeve that recreates a 1950's 45 single package is a compilation of 45s & 78s that Muddy recorded for Chess, released on LP for the first time in the US, some of which had largely gone unheard outside of the hardcore blues-collector world.
