Description

MURPHY FEDERATION: slipping past on the inside/fed up the skank

LONDON MADRAS LM1/2 UK 1981 7" hand-typed white labels (no ps)

extremely obscure DIY single - minimal punk related to Street Level Studios and F**K OFF label (have track in FOLK IN HELL compilation cassette) also Homosexuals (see web info below) and various other experimental & avant-garde acts. This is obviously a very limited release and I do have a copy with a DIY sleeve (2 scetches glued on a plain cover) which does not provide any information though (I can include a xerox of it if the winner wants it).

"The Plain People Of England are part of a secret subset of Homosexuals-related activity centered around Rob Murphy and his frequent collaborator Ted Barrow, a peripheral presence in both the original Homosexuals saga and a member of the post-Homosexuals unit Die Trip Computer Die alongside Jim Welton and Lepke Buchwater. The Murphy material has taken numerous guises over the years (Murphy No Geisha, Murphy Federation, Orchestre Murphy, Up Murphy Street, etc.) and to be honest, it wasn't until just recently that the work recorded under the Plain People Of England moniker finally clicked with me".
