MUSCLE & HAIR -- Cry For Mary / Love As We Know It -- ex. rare, original late 1960's (?) U.S. 45 RPM single. How can you not love a late Sixties Xian-Psych-Hippie band called "Muscle & Hair" - ??! For fans of this genre, this one is completely unknown/undiscovered, and the A-side "Cry For Mary" does not disappoint: driving/churning vocals, haunting echoed female backing and a killer "So saith the Lord" chorus. Truly some excellent Jesus Freak-era Rock 'n Roll. Extra points for calling their Private Press label "Phony Graph Records" (!) B-side "Love As We Know It" is dreamy Female Pop number, quite good in its way, but it's the A-side that's the winner here. There's absolutely no information about this one out there at all, and I don't expect to find another copy -- get it while you can. In generic sleeve. Record: VG-, light-to-moderate surface wear and scuffs, wear on label, well used but overall fairly clean, on Phony Graph private label, U.S. press.
