Australian ethnographic recording documenting the aboriginal music of the Lockhart River mission. An amazing insight into the indigenous music of Northern Queensland, which due to the proximity to the Torres Straight Islands is unique and quite different than other aboriginal traditions. As far as I am aware there are two volumes in this series. The second LP ‘The Drums Of Lockhart' turns up occasionally but this record appears to be undocumented. Housed in a plain sleeve with hand typed 5 page notes. Exceptionally rare and important Australian custom recording. Both sides feature group singing with percussion as well as nature field recordings.

Certainly the most obscure Aboriginal LP I've come across. 

Vinyl. VG+ (Clean disc with occasional light hairline. Plays great. Some light crackle and pop in parts due to custom press)

Cover. (Plain sleeve although come with original hand-typed 5 page information insert)
