YOU ARE BIDDING FOR THE ORIGINAL "LIKE A VIRGIN" US, PROMO WHITISH LP. THIS IS KNOWN TO BE THE RAREST,DEFECTED, MISPRINTED, REJECTED , OFFICIAL MADONNA RECORD ALONG SIDE "BORDERLINE" (WHICH A DISSCENTAL EMPLOYEE PRESSED ON COLORED VINYL WITH OUT PERMISSION A FEW YEARS EARLIER) OUT THERE TO DATE. The story is that the night crew who were responsible for the cleaning of the record press failed to do a good job. The press still had traces of black vinyl on it from the previous pressing which caused the white vinyl to steak black giving it a marble swirly type of desinge A employee noticed the defected record's while packaging them,.bringing this find to their supervisor. He flipped out! Shouting "These have to perfectly white", so he order a recall , Fortunately for us collectors there only a hand full of copies didn't make it to the scrap pile. In 1984,I was a babysitter for a Warner Brothers Representative, who explained the situation to me. Knowing that Madonna was my hero,he gave me three copies and told me to never sell them or he will lose he's job. Sorry Unfortunately there are minor scuff's on it, but doesn't compromise sound quality. The cover has some wear on it, please refer to the above photo.
