This is a rarely seen compilation of songs for the film 'Dick Tracy'. It says "studio outtakes from the film Dick Tracy" on the cover but I cannot confirm if that's actually the case. I played this only once when first obtained (over 30 years ago) but I played portions of it again today in order to evaluate the quality of the recordings. The first track appears to be sped up somewhat and required adjustment to the pitch function in order to sound 'correct'. The other tracks sounded pitched at the correct speed. 'More' sounds very similar to the finished LP version, in fact it could be the same? I think that the other songs may have sounded different to those that appeared on the regular LP but I can't be sure, so please bear this in mind. They seem to be Madonna singing to a piano accompaniment. Please be aware that they definitely aren't the same sound quality as heard on the released LP. But it's definitely Madonna singing.
The record itself is in VG+ condition with no major defects that I could see. The disc is flat with no obvious warps etc. The front cover features a semi-nude shot that is itself a reproduction of the limited poster that was included in some UK 12" copies of her "Vogue" single (which was also on the tie-in album that the finished versions of these 4 songs appeared on). The cover itself isn't 'mint' and features some light edge wrinkles and creases - please enlarge and study the photos for full visual details.
This has been carefully stored since purchase in a smoke free environment.
I am a collector myself and understand the necessity for clear and accurate descriptions of the actual item in eBay listings. Please see my feedback.
Thank you and again, apologies for ending the first listing early.
This will be sent separated from the cover, sealed in plastic and then attached to/sandwiched between 2 cardboard flats and sent in an oversized LP style mailer.
