Magus LP UK acid/folk/psych Holyground orig unplayed

Description

This very rare UK acid/folk/psych LP is by the UK group Magus and is titled "breezing away" it is an originak UK 1980 issue on the UK Northern Sound label. These guys [peter howells and jim gordon] were in the earlier 1974 UK acid/folk/psych group Blue Epitaph whose very rare LP titled "ode" was released on the legendary UK Holyground label and is worth around £300.

The Holyground studios were in Wakefield in Yorkshire, the Northern Sound studios were only about 15 miles away in Barnsley in Yorkshire. Strangely enough i bought this LP from a record shop in Wakefield in 1981 less than a mile or two away from the site of the old Holyground studios.

The tracks are mainly original compositions with just a couple of covers [one is a john martyn song]. The songs are an eclectic acid/folk/psych mix of acoustic/ electric guitars, synthesizer, drums, electric and string bass and fiddle.

This LP for auction here is guaranteed mint and unplayed from being bought new [i have another copy which i do play]. The disc has only ever been out of its inner sleeve twice since leaving the pressing plant and that was for me to inspect it, it has never been on a turntable.

The cover is in excellent condition.
