Description
This is one of the finest interpretations of Mahler's Second that you have ever heard. It was famously conducted and recorded by Gilbert Kaplan, who had no previous Classical conducting experience, but made it his life's work to specialize in this one fabulous piece. His interpretation was widely hailed as one of the finest ever of this work, and he went on to conduct it all over the world. This is the recording that put him on the Mahler "map."
The record and jacket are in Mint condition. This copy was played once; I have another copy I use regularly.
When I had a fine home audio system in the 1990’s, I collected a number of audiophile LP’s. Recently I moved into a much smaller home and do not have room for either the large audio system, or LP storage. These LP’s were played a maximum of 1 to 2 times each, and were well cared-for in a no-smoking, no-children home, by a hifi and vinyl record enthusiast. You will be very happy with their condition. Please see my other LP’s for sale on Ebay, and I will be glad to combine shipping.
My records will be properly packed and shipped in a new LP record mailer.
Thanks for looking!
