An interesting one up for auction this week. I consider this to be the Malasysian Simla beat. I haven't provided a full cover photo or name since I'd rather keep this one unknown for now, but it involves numerous pictures as the one scene in the photo's. The album is produced by a consumer goods company (much like Simla Beat was a cigarette company) who held a talent show for local bands. On this record you'll find some fantastic fuzz (listen to the first clip), along with other rock songs, garage, beat, some funk and even some exotic. What really adds to the experience of this album is the fact they fade the crowd in and out at the end and start of songs to try to let the listener experience the concert itself. These groups never went on to record anything, so these recordings are their 5 minutes or fame (or in some cases 3 minutes for the shorter songs!). Really cool artifact here for fans into this type of exotic sound.
