Welcome to VINYL HEAVEN.
E-Bay is new to me, but I can assure you I have been an avid collector, for many years now. My collection is just too big, so I will be offering a choice selection of vinyl and music items I with reluctance, feel I might be able to live without.
Everything I offer will be graded as per the record collector magazine, and I will offer an unconditional refund if you are not delighted.
Mandy Morton and Spriguns
Magic Lady
Banshee Ban 1011.
A very interesting copy of this seminal acid folk lp.
As well as the lp, there is:
1st letter is hand written by Mike Morton, to Julie Felix, enclosing the album, and the Polydor material, for Julie to forward on, and he discusses potential tour dates. Undated, but written early 1980.
Letter 2, from Julie Felix, March 1980, to a folk club in Africa, introducing the Mandy morton lp, discussing tour dates, and saying Sandie Shaw is difficult to work with!
The handwritten part at the bottom of Julie's letter says she 'Is not too knocked out' by Mandy Mortons album, but her husband is 'very keen'
How suspect was Julie Felix's taste!
Also enclosed are two polydor press photo sheets from 1980, text on the rear about the forthcoming Polydor release.
So all in all, a vital record, with a wonderful history, and its nice to know the story behind something for a change.
Mystery abounds about how many of this album was pressed, people say 1000, but I remember talking to somebody involved in the project at the time, who told me the actual number was just 500.
Letters + photos Near Mint.
Sleeve VG++ slight ringwear and general age. nothing serious.
Disc VG+++++ all gloss, handful of plays only, minor scuffing under bright light from sleeve removal. no scratches.
