Description
A 1st pressing of VOLUME 2 on the UK Vertigo label from October 1970. Matrix 1/1. Large Vertigo Swirl. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold sleeve including the original dated SWIRL sleeve - '1070' - Oct 1970. So, this copy would have been purchased in the first week of release. Not only is it a genuine rarity, but it is in tremendous condition. I can't imagine finding another one like this in a hurry!
Vinyl (Ex+) A truly amazing slab of vinyl and all you can do is stand back and marvel at it! Shiny like new and has clearly seen only the very lightest of use in its 47 years of life. Under close inspection we could barely make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. It just doesn't get any better than this and I would defy anyone to find a better copy. Absolutely faultless - intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference? Nope - nothing - zip...This is one of the best preserved records I've ever got my hands on. Absolutely top-draw.
Cover (Ex+) Again, this record had one incredibly fastidious owner. It has basically been archived since 1970. There's practically no handling wear at all. All I can pick out is a touch of light fade at the extreme right and a small signature on the rear. Other than that this really is in mind-blowing condition. It retains perfect rigidity and the openings are sharp as they come!
Inner (Vg+) A bit of ageing, but no splits or markings. And most importantly proves the 1st week purchase!
