Description
I am selling more of my collection of vinyl records, this one being Manfred Mann - Chapter Three from 1969.
As per Rare Record Collector information the 1st Issue is as follows:- Sleeve Notes:
Gatefold sleeve. 1st issue has “A PHILIPS RECORDS PRODUCT” wording above the copyright notice on the rear sleeve. 2nd issue does not. Otherwise sleeve is identical for reissue.
Label Notes:
Large swirl logo above spindle.
“VERTIGO” below spindle hole.
“A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT” appears below “VERTIGO”
Upper and lower case song titles without track numbers.
A Side Matrix: 8 4 7 9 0 2 1 Y // 3 ? 4 2 0 1 4 5
B Side Matrix: 8 4 7 9 0 2 2 Y // 3 ? 4 2 0 1 1 1 6
Mine has 'A philips records product' above the Copyright warning on the sleeve.
A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT does not appear below the Word VERTIGO.
My A Side Matrix is: 847902 1Y//3 (upside down triangle) 420 14 (then a large gap and the number) 2
My B Side Matrix is: 847902 2Y//3 (upside down triangle) 420 11 (punched off set to eachother , i.e not in line) and then a gap and the number 2 and then another gap and the number 1
Rare Record collector also says:-
2ND ISSUE:
Gatefold sleeve and label as above without ‘PHILIPS RECORDS PRODUCT” wording
I do not know what this might mean regarding my record, but I have added it for you to see so you know exactly what this record has as identification of its year / issue etc as I know some buyers buy this way also. Plus due to this, I cannot be certain if it is 1969 or 1970?, yes I bought it back then but I cannot recall if I bought it as the first issue, even though from vague memory I thought I did? so please can you if possible work this out before you bid/buy, as I can only tell you the facts as they stand with this record, I wish I was an expert at times but sadly I am not.
