Description

An original 1st press of THREE on UK Vertigo from 1969. Matrix 3/3. Note that the labels exhibit a large Vertigo swirl above the spindle and 'Philips Product' at the base. All indicative of very 1st press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with original Vertigo swirl inner. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In nice playable condition despite quite a bit of use. If you are in anyway fussy about marks -  I think it would be best if you passed on this copy. If, however, you're prepared to compromise on that you could still bag some decent audio from a good value 1st copy of this collectable title. There are several marks both side and some are trails and do stand out to the eye. Anyway, they seem to be mostly reasonably light and this pressing is heavy from '69. So, the overall effect is no where near as bad as you might expect. In fact, overall it is more than capable of delivering some fab audio around the VG+ level for large parts. It does have a few minor issues as I'll detail. A couple of clicks in the opening seconds of track 1, and midway through 'Mister'. Expect a bit of light background during 'TIME' '& MISTER' - probably by virtue of them being the quieter tracks. These tracks still sound fine they just won't play clean. But overall, to be honest, the rest of the LP plays well - more than good enough to get the feel and thoroughly enjoy. I like it. But like I said - remember the visual aspect/issues that I have described above. This LP is a compromise on that level. But for the audio - I would say a compromise well worth considering.
Cover (Vg-) Looks ok, but do expect a fair amount of surface wear. The interior looks pretty good, but does have track timings written against the tracks. Expect a fair bit of edge wear. The text on the spine is still mostly legible, but do expect wear. Overall the cover still retains verygood rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged. In ok condition - no better.
