Description

A rare issue of “The First Fair Song” (as the label sates) of “Meet Me in St, Louis, Louis,” recorded in early 1904, to commemorate the St, Louis World’s Fair. It is sung by Billy Murray and is self-announced at the start. This is the early Columbia recording, with the client Manhattan label affixed.

The disc is in VV+ condition with two 2-inch-long lamination cracks, and some scratches and scuffs. The label appears to have some kind of clear resin over it. It does not affect the play.
