Description

Marais and Miranda 'Raw Music, Well Done' LP
Columbia 33S 1147 Mono Recording Engineer = Joe Meek Recording Supervision = Denis Preston Factory Sample Recorded in London on 11/10/59.  Recording first published 1960.
'International Balladeers Marais and Miranda sing songs which recreate the original music of the African people.'
Vinyl has some scuff marks to it but nothing that affects play. I have tested it to make sure. Cover shows signs of edging wear and repair but maintains a nice cover image with all its text readable.
A rarity for any record collection. I have to say that I have not heard anything quite like this before. It has even been influenced by Joe Meek, who was the independent record producer who had a hit with 'Telstar' by The Tornados, in 1962. It would seem that his influence for producing 'Jungle Fever', the B side to 'Telstar', came from his engineering work on this record.
