Description

This is the highly sought after first LP by Marc Ellington, respected folk singer and friend of Fairport Convention (he provided some vocals on 'Unhalfbricking'). He is largely an interpreter of material by other artists and on this LP there are tracks written by such esteemed names as Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Tim Hardin, John Martyn and Ralph McTell. He has a very distinctive voice and it is a little surprising that little of his recorded output is officially available on CD, although some have appeared in South Korea recently. On this LP, he is backed by members of the esteemed psych band Harsh Reality.

As a bonus, I am including the single issued around the same time, featuring non-LP track 'Peggy Day', backed with 'Four In The Morning', both of which are of course in mono.

LP Tracks are:

Side 1:

  1. In Brooklyn
  2. Fairy Tale Lullaby
  3. Reason To Believe
  4. Caledonian Mission
  5. Fair and Tender Ladies
  6. Changes
  7. Tears Of Rage
  8. Four In The Morning
Side 2:
  1. Will The Circle Be Unbroken
  2. I Shall Be Released
  3. Bless The Executioner
  4. Love City
  5. Desolation Row
  6. Nanna's Song
Condition:  LP Vinyl is in M- condition, with excellent shine, no scratches, no wear, very minor surface marks and spindle marks. It plays beautifully, almost silent between tracks and just the occasional click and pop that is typical of records from this period. The bonus 45 is also in the same condition.

Sleeve is M-. Just a couple of slightly bumped corners, perfect otherwise. No tears or sticker marks.

Shipping in the USA will be USPS Media Mail, unless otherwise requested by the buyer. International shipping will be at cost and will vary according to the destination country.
