Description
Here we have an original copy of the "Real Live Girl" album on the famed Justice label from 1966. It’s a joint effort by the U.S. groups The Marlboros and The Jokers Six, and is featured in Hans Pokora’s 1001 Record Collector Dreams (where it gets 3 out of 6 discs for rarity) as well as the Acid Archives book. Basically a black vocal group backed by a white club band, it features the usual soul covers of the day as well as a couple of originals.
Unfortunately, this copy comes WITHOUT A COVER (when I was collecting these Justice discs more intently, there were at least a couple of times when I only managed to score the disc). The vinyl is in pretty decent shape, however, at least VG+ to my eyes – though it could use a good cleaning (and the label is notorious for poor pressings). All these Justice releases are scarce nowadays, and if you’re into ’60s beach music or garage-soul, this might be a nice one for you!
