Description
This Auction is for a SIGNED COPY of the extremely rare and out of print vinyl version of The Mars Volta De-Loused in the Comatorium on TWO Metallic Silver Records. The Album was prined on a double gatefold sleeve featuring two album covers(as shown in the pic, they are opposite directions which may or may not be a misprint) This was made in 2003 and from what i was told was limited to 1000 copies, I believe they have been sold out since sometime in 2005. I bought my copy form their webstore and was lucky enough to get it signed when I recorded some string section parts for them during the "Frances the Mute" sessions in 2004. It was recorded during July–October 2004 at Avatar Studios, New York. The Album is signed by 4 of the original members which include Omar Rodríguez-López, Cedric Bixler-Zavala, Isaiah "Ikey" Owens & their amazing ex drummer Jon Theodore. I was a student at NYU at the time and was lucky enough to be asked to play on the album. I was always a huge fan of the band so i took the opportunity to get my album autographed and have as a one of a kind keepsake. I have since lost interest in the band and am sadly in need of cash so i decided to throw up for auction and see what I can get since its been sitting on a shelf for a few years. The Record's themselves are unplayed and the jacket has some wear but no tears or rips or anything major. The Record also came with a HUGE DOUBLESIDED 20"x20" poster, I have taken pics of both sides of the poster next to the record jacket to show the size.
