Description
ROCK N ROLL N ROBBINS (Columbia CL 2601) 10 inch ep, 1956, one of the legendary issues of the early rockabilly era:
Long Tall Sally, Tennessee Teddy, Maybelline, Respectfully Miss Brooks, Mean Mama Blues, Long Gone Lonesome Blues (6 tracks, 10 inch EP)..
the record grades VG, and like most 50's vinyl in that condition, is a good listen on a good stereo.
the 10 inch jacket has a 8 inch split seam across the edge. but no other defects, except for some mostly-not-visible scotch tape top/front and top/back that must have been used to try and repair that top split seam by the original owner. Nice gloss on the front cover and NO ring wear.
This record actually turned up in a local thrift store last year!
Unfortunately, the original owner played it on a crap 50's player, so that is why the vinyl is worn (per above, i would label it "surface noise wear, but NO pops) boooo.
But in EX or better, this great rockabilly 6-song ep goes for $400+ or more (and books at $1,000). It will be nice to find a good home for this copy at a fraction of that price! (i don't collect rockabilly, having come of age some time later. You say Burnette Trio, i say Gene Pitney and Dion solo). it plays fine and has a real nice punchy volume and sound.
