Description

An original 1st press of LGIO on the UK Tamla label. Matrix A1/B1 - 1st cut. Stampers 1-GO/1-GA - 1st mothers great provenance for audio. Note how the perimeter text around the label mention 'Gramophone' - these are the 1st issues. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original Tamla advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Has seen relatively light use and consequently the audio has been tremendously well preserved. A couple of light marks per side - nothing troublesome that would feature in the audio. A thorough testing reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. All in all a super player with lovely clean audio throughout. At worse a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments [e.g.Satisfied], but precious little else. A blindingly good rendition not far from perfect. All of the low-key moments play clean, even 'Satisfied' - which is a difficult task. You'd struggle to even equal the audio on offer here.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Very nice clean front - just lightest handling. The rear looks good too - just one slight nick over on the left side. The interior looks great with just a couple of minor blemishes. Edge wear is light and the spine is all intact - text mostly still legible. There's a bit of light fade to the spine. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
