Description

What can be said about this record? It's an elusive 70's soul jazz masterpiece that most diggers dream of uncovering in any condition. Imagine how excited i felt to discover a sealed copy. but like many records that remain sealed for decades, there was the potential for trouble to be lurking inside the shrink. there were some obvious signs of water damage so I decided to crack it open and see what could be wiped off. Some of the water damage came right off.. but in the process, some of the print wiped off as well, as can be seen in the photos. Especially the area of the Strata logo on the front. I graded the sleeve G+ because it is intact, corners are good, no seam splitting. Only slight discoloration from the water damage and, of course, the rubbed up print from the cleaning.

As far as the record itself. It's unplayed and obviously very nice! Seems pretty flat. It has the orange labels and man are the bright neon orange! Interestingly enough, the labels have some imperfections right out of the sleeve, as seen in the photos. I consider that a factory defect. Nothing major, just seem to be slightly miscut. Because it's freshly opened, without any warping, i'm grading it VG+.
