Description
Here we have an original copy of the first album from the Turkish psych-prog duo Mazhar ve Fuat on the Yonca label from 1974. It’s featured in Hans Pokora’s 2001 Record Collector Dreams (where it gets 5 out of 6 discs for rarity, and a "Masterpiece Of Music" recommendation). Musically, it’s a combination of Turkish folk-pop and psych-progressive sounds, and features female vocals and a great mix of ethnic instrumentation and early synthesizers. Gotta be one of the ten best from Turkey!
I got this record from noted Turkish dealer Gokhan Aya about nine years ago; he’d graded it VG+/VG+(+), and that’s pretty accurate. The cover is just shy of VG+ with ringwear to both sides, a couple price tag-size tears to the upper front corners, and a little creasing on the back. The first cut on each side has some audible scratching/scuffing, but after that it plays very nicely. Probably about as well as the other copy recently listed on eBay for $1100! I think the album has now been reissued, but this is an ORIGINAL, and mighty hard to find!
Bid early and bid often. Get in touch before bidding if you have low (under 100/under 99%) or private feedback, or if you wanna propose a payment method other than PayPal. Shipping will be added at my cost (pay no attention to that eBay number), so PLEASE WAIT FOR MY INVOICE! A secure shipping method (like EMS) is a MUST for this item.
I have many other obscure ’60s/’70s LPs and 45s for sale. If you collect this sort of thing, please hit me up for a little list...
