Description

The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid.  The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's.  An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored.  These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay.  With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await.  My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner.  I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed.  I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find.  All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Impulse Stereo gatefold vinyl LP A-18 (Van Gelder stamped in dead wax) - released 1962
Vinyl EX.  Test played on NAD C555 turntable revealed exceptional stereo sound quality.  Mostly translucent and clear, side one plays quiet, side two track one has a bit of background but not intrusive.  Heavy vinyl is shiny and glossy - looks unplayed or handled.  Almost imperceptible spindle marks (may) indicate prior play once or twice.  Beautiful Burt Goldblatt laminated gatefold cover VG ++.  Slight indention upper spine.  Virtually no shelf or ring wear.  Small laminate lifts upper left and lower right corner.  Two horizontal hairline laminate markings lower cover.  Interior has some age and spotting discoloration consistent with age.  Did not photograph interior because spine hinge remains firm as if previously unopened and I did not wish to compromise.  Overall an exceptional package.
