Description
McDONALD & GILES McDonald & Giles.
Original RARE GATE-FOLD sleeve album.
Released in 1970, on the ISLAND record label.
1st PRESSING PINK DOT! Catalogue number ILPS 9126.
The sleeve is the original gate-fold design.
Overall the sleeve is in NEAR EXCELLENT condition, and still retains its original authentic look, it is clean solid and complete, there are no rips, no tears, no seem splits, and no deep sleeve creases.
The record sleeve displays some slight/light sleeve wear in places, there is some edge wear along the sleeve’s top and bottom sleeve’s edge and two small knocks/scuffed parts on the spine (sleeve print worn off and missing), spine corners have some light wear.
There are two small very light faint front sleeve creases running from the two small spine knocks. There is a crease on the middle inside sleeve on the right hand side, which runs parallel to the spine, which has slightly raised a small portion of the sleeve.
The record comes complete with the original light blue printed ISLAND inner record company paper sleeve. This is in EXCELLENT condition, it is clean solid and complete with no rips, no tears, and no sleeve splits.
The record labels are in MINT condition, with full clear label print and no label damage (original labels have been slightly miss pressed (off centre) during manufacturing), there are just a couple of tiny faint ultra light spindle hole marks showing extreme light playing.
Record playing surfaces are MINT in appearance, with no visible surface marks!
Record plays grades mostly EXCELLENT+++ record sound displays no crackles, no loud clicks, no major surface noise and does not jump.
There is just the odd and only occasional low level background surface noise in places when played (possible static?), however this is minimal and only appear in a few tiny parts of the record and is not consistent throughout when played (still worthy of an EXCELLENT+++ grading!).
