Hi, my name is Tommy and I’ve been collecting records for many, many years now. I’ve taken the hard decision to sell off some of my collection, so I can concentrate my collection in one specific area. So please look at my other listings. Listed here is a Very RARE album by McDonald and Giles titled McDonald and Giles. This is a UK Original 1st Pressing on Island ILPS 9126. This is stereo copy and is pressed on the very collectable Pink ‘i’ Island label. This is a first pressing and is their rarest LP, you’ll be hard pressed to find another. The sleeve is printed by E.J.Day. Also has the early matrix numbers. Ian McDonald and Michael Giles were as you probably know the founding members of King Crimson. After recording “in the court of the crimson king” they both left the group. This was their first LP after leaving the group, and in my opinion is a lost gem. This record is a must for any King Crimson fan.
Matrix numbers: ILPS 9126 A-2U / ILPS 9126 B-2U
VINYL - Both sides of the record are in VG+ condition. There is some minor/light background noise/static which is only noticeable between the tracks and even then not very noticeable. NO skips, NO Jumps, NO sticking. Couple of light pops, there are a couple of hairline scratches, which don’t affect the sound quality, apart from tiny one at the start of side two (2mm long) which produces a couple of very light clicks . Would have graded it EX+ if it wasn’t for the couple of light clicks.
SLEEVE - The Gatefold sleeve is in VG condition. Fair amount of spine wear and edge wear, NO Rips, NO Tears, NO Splits, NO creasing. There is also some minor rubbing wear to inside of sleeve. There is a small white mark on the top right corner of the front of sleeve, which I think where a price sticker may have been.
Inner is in EX condition.
Label’s are in EX condition. Some minor spindle marks, NO Writing/graffiti.
(note: never grade Mint as I believe once it’s been played, even just once it’s no longer Mint)
