Record Grade: VG++ (Has some paper scuffs, super clean play. Was bought sealed and played through once,no warping from seal.)
Cover: VG+ (Some edge wear. Some ring wear on front and back. Was bought sealed and cellophane was removed)
Here we go. Its' the grail of electro jazz disco funk efficianados the world over, and this one even comes with a Clarence Niles business card! This record is hyped and with good reason. I think there's just a single track that I'm not into on the whole album. Punchy punchy drums and rhythm punctuate aggressive basslines all the while playing counter point to rhodes work that's just drenched in stone phase pedal effects.
A record that's hard to classify; this fact only lends more credit to McNeal & Niles acheivement. The sound and compositions remain well rounded the whole way through. Plus, how cool is the included business card? I always meant to frame it, but just never got around to it. Hopefully you'll do better.
