Capitol Records ST-2047 Meet The Beatles. Circa 1964 Capitol Records factory sealed Meet The Beatles STEREO LP is very nice with four sharp corners, no seam splits, no bends, no shrink wrap tears noted, SUPER NICE! Apparently the Capitol Records shrink machine got overheated a bit and although the shrink wrap is very bubbly underneath it is a BEAUTIFUL LP and GUARANTEED Capitol Records Factory shrink with two small breathe holes on front and two small breathe holes on back. The Meet The Beatles cover is correct for a 1964 release with an RIAA 3 on back and NO George Martin credit. The inner sleeve is visible through the shrink wrap (see photo) at the fully sealed open end side and it appears to be tan color which would place this LP mid 1965 or 1966 the record inside will have either the standard Capitol rainbow label or Capitol label with Subsidiary print around the perimeter.
Early 1960's Capitol Records MONO LPs' far out number their STEREO counterparts. Capitol Records pressed far more mono Beatles LPs' compared to stereo records in early to mid 1960's due to the simple fact that most people at the time did not have stereo phonographs, this trend would reverse in the mid to late 1960's with mono LPs' getting phased out entirely. This Meet The Beatles STEREO LP is a MUST HAVE LP in every Beatles collection! Don't miss out!
