Description
Here's a seldom seen pressing of Meet The Beatles. This is the very last mono pressing made of the album, circa 1967-1968. It was pressed by Capitol's West Coast factory in Hollywood California, hence the asterisk in the trailoff. However, the labels have an unusually small font. The vinyl grades VG++ due to a few small and abrasions, but full gloss remains. The cover has nice graphics. There's also has a cutout hole in the upper righthand corner... when the music industry deleted the mono format in 1968, many of these "late mono" pressings were placed in record store bargain bins, and the record stores were credited for unsold stock. The covers were then "marked" in a permanent way so the record store owner couldn't place them back in the full price bin. So, these were actually sold new this way. Cover also has a 3" seam split on the bottom right. Tough variation to find!!
